Let’s face it, life can be hard. We are constantly forced to have everything figured out, to be perfect, when in reality we are struggling to find our way. We aren’t sure which way to go or where to turn, and today we are carrying emotional baggage from all the days before that is continually dragging us down.
Are you… believing that you aren’t “good enough”?
feeling unsure of your future?
going through a life transition?
lacking closure with a loved one?
struggling to lose weight?
Through writing and coaching, we work together to recover the valuable pieces of yourself that have been lost so you can feel like your whole self again.
overcome insecurities?
rediscover your voice?
grow from negative experiences in a positive way?
find peace and acceptance within yourself?
speak openly and honestly with others?
live in the moment with those you love?
rebuild your life?
I am a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the International Coach Academy. In light of my work with The Things You Would Have Said, I have an emotion-based and writing-inspired coaching approach. I especially like to dig beyond your initial reactions and responses to find deeper meaning and underlying beliefs.
As a coach, it’s my job to listen intently, reflect back and provide insightful feedback, ask powerful questions, and support you in your growing process. I also focus a great deal of attention on your self-care and personal enjoyment outside of sessions so that you can come to sessions with your best foot forward.
Not everyone is interested in waking up early every morning and free write in their journals. Not everyone loves to write pages and pages about what’s going on in their day. That’s the type of person I love working with. I invite the challenge to show people how easy writing can be incorporated to your life. Short, simple, activities that can be done when dinner is cooking or when you’re about to fall asleep are immensely helpful to your well-being and can be just what you need to lift your mood and tackle the next moment.
Most importantly, as a coach I am not:
-a therapist
-a consultant
-a medical doctor, or one that makes diagnoses
Coaching sessions are not a place to vent about a situation and stay stagnant in that anger or pain. Ample time is not spent defining why you are the way you are or at what point you became that way. Rather it is a place to explore options to better yourself and the situation, continually learning from what you’ve experienced and using it to help your future. It is about making positive improvements as you go forward, always taking steps towards your goal.
Coaching is done over the phone, on Skype, and in person. Email coaching is also available.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. In each session, I use powerful questioning to help you discover missing links and new insight to help you achieve your goals. I challenge old, destructive thought processes and help empower you to change perspectives. It’s important to note that no advice is given. You are the expert of your own life, and you have all of the answers! Together, we work together to uncover those answers and utilize them in the best way possible. Homework and reflection activities between sessions is also an essential part of the coaching process, and it is part of my responsibility to hold you accountable for that outside work.
Each session is $60. Please contact me for special packages and seasonal discounts.
Referrals are very important to me! To thank you for sending someone my way, your friend will receive a discounted first session and you will receive one session completely FREE!
Email, call, or Skype me for a complimentary 20 minute consultation! We can discuss where you are, where you’d like to be, and decide if we are the right match. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
